The Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care is one of the main departments at the Faculty of Health Sciences / University of Gharyan. It represents a distinguished system aimed at enhancing the profession of anesthesia and intensive care through its programs and active participation in organizations and associations concerned with the field of public health for the individual and society. Every year, the faculty graduates anesthesia and intensive care technicians who possess competence, skill, and knowledge in their professional life. This is achieved through an educational process based on building and developing the student's personality to be able to interact and deal professionally with the external environment in various work settings.
Through the faculty members, we strive to improve the health culture level of our students so that it aligns with the health, clinical, and technical standards that the student will deal with after completing the university stage and moving on to the work phase in many medical departments in hospitals and health centers, most importantly the operating rooms and intensive care units.
And God is the grantor of success.
Description
The Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care offers a medical educational program for students within standard criteria to graduate specialists in anesthesia and intensive care with professional skills and competencies, and scientific outcomes that keep pace with scientific and technical developments, in line with its field and labor market requirements. The Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care also seeks to develop healthcare services to contribute to enhancing the needs of the local labor market and to graduate distinguished and scientifically creative national cadres qualified technically, through many educational, awareness activities, and scientific research.
Vision
Training, educating, and preparing the student theoretically and practically to raise the level of competence in emergency medical services and to graduate specialized cadres to work in the operating room as well as in intensive care units. The department also seeks to achieve regional excellence in the field of anesthesia and intensive care to foster fair competition among local and international community institutions in accordance with international standards.

To be pioneers in this specialized field and to provide the healthcare workforce with highly competent and skilled anesthesiology and intensive care specialists for patient safety and community service.
